My Sleep Stack
Every night, this is what I take to help me sleep:
- 20mg CBD Oil
- 2mg Melatonin (which I got in the USA, as it is not illegal in the UK, but only licensed for under 18s and over 55s on prescription. Weird, eh? What about the 19-54 year olds?)
- 100mg Vitamin B6 Pyridoxine
- 10mg Zinc
- 266mg Magnesium (I take zinc and magnesium combined)
Alcohol & CBD
If I have alcohol, I omit the CBD. I don’t know why. Some people say it’s okay, others say be careful. So, I’m careful 🙂
If I take the ‘sleep stack’ above, I sleep so deeply and wake so rested and I have amazing dreams.
Zinc, Magnesium, Aspartame (ZMA)
You may notice if you’re into this kind of thing, that I am effectively taking ZMA.
ZMA, which stands for zinc magnesium aspartate, is a supplement that many athletes, bodybuilders, and people who are interested in fitness take.
It has zinc, magnesium, and vitamin B6 as its three main ingredients.
The people who make ZMA say that it helps muscles grow and get stronger and improves endurance, recovery, and the quality of sleep.
I thought that sounded good as I was getting older, but when I went to the supplement shop, the ZMA supplements cost £28.
But when I looked and put my own together the B6 was £4.49, and the Magnesium and Zinc combined was £7.99. I saved £15.52!
Another effect of this combo on men is that it produces, erm… strong results in particular parts of your anatomy.
